I've always considered modern Randall to be the Spinal Tap of Amps.
They go so over the top its usually just Comical. Look at that 667. Its a Joke. Not knocking any sounds or anything, but I can't take them seriously when they're trying so hard to be metal. They're like the Hot Topic of amps. I almost want to try them so I can dispell those thoughts with first hand experience, but again, like Hot Topic....I just have to keep walkin'.
Great dealings with: ryan summit, UncleGrandfather, Pizza, hbombgraphics, dangergirlstarship, Clockworker, kosta

I heard they come packaged within a protective layer of 90's-cartoon-related T-shirts.

Well then what you really don't like is the Fortin packaging as all these Randalls are based off his designs but made overseas to be "wallet friendly" - with that said, they are certainly marketed to a specific audience.

I feel that way about most things that come across as trying too hard.
Especially the people who try too hard not to seem like they're trying too hard.
I've just never associated them with anything but expensive paperweights and amps from that guy who shows up, can't play as claimed but mutters about his pro gear, then you find out it's a 1980s solid state Randall combo that's sputtering on the one channel that works.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.
I feel like if I had played a Randall in high school I would have been like "YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHSDKJHGKJHDFGLK' and not blown two months part time pay on a Mesa/Boogie because The Internet convinced me nothing else would do.
