I have the FX25B too, though... It's lots of fun... I like the way it tends to track with guitar... it kind of "wobbles", I guess.

Very fun on bass. I played this one a lot with it, but I know everyone else on here especially MM hate slap bass. :erm:

Haha, I have no problem with slap bass.

When I saw Buckethead, I thought I was going to die every time he switched on his envelope filter... It HURT. :omg:

Not everyone, I like slap bass, just not the way some players turn it into wankery like in ^ vid. On the other hand am I guilty of such wankery....yes  That type of playing is actually very easy to do once you master the hammer-on, and it can be fun
But I still really don't get much out of hearing other players play that way, just as I am always amazed that when I play like that people actually like it and don't grab hold of torches and pitchforks :omg:

Blue; I don’t exactly hate slap.
Ok do I believe there are only 3 or 4 people in the whole world that can do it well.
And only 2 who can do it with fuzz, but Larry Graham and Bootsy never come over to play with me.

I use a lot of hammer ons, pull offs, bends and vibrato so don’t go by me.

ditto about slap. I think it CAN be done well, it just usually ISN'T. It usually comes off as the bass version of a van halen wank-off.

Hammer-ons, pull-offs and bends are the shiz, I just kinda suck at them. A lot of other bassists look at me cross eyed because I use a crapload of chords.

I’m trying to learn chords.
I think they are great.
That’s part of the reason I was thinking about getting a Baja Sexto or Bass VI.
My fingers on the other hand (not a pun) don’t like them at all.

I just ordered a DOD 565-A on a whim for about $20. I'm assuming it's like the FX65 Stereo Chorus, but I can't find any demos of it for the life of me. Oh well, hopefully it will be awesome when it arrives later.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Man did I love all three of my Thrash Masters, my Death Metal, my Classic Fuzz, my Meatbox, and my BuzzBox. Still wish I had the last two :(

I didn't so much care for my DFX9. Lousy footswitch, side-mounted non-standard power jack and so on. Sounded okay.

I modded one for fungalattack. I didn't replace the footswitch, but the DC jack is realllly easy to swap out. Not enough room for a soft touch momentary in there
