Elder Scrolls online, i'm liking it a lot more than the Beta. Continuing my trend of only playing as a Breton.

The Questing system is really good, one minor little quest stems into a nice solid story. Followed a dog which led to stopping an Assassin plot, really cool organic questing for an MMO. Also looks really really good for an online game.

I am sooo far behind when it comes to gaming. I have 2x PS3's, 360 and Wii in the house. About 15 games I bought new that are still in the plastic (Demon's Souls, Bioshock 1 & 2, Gears Of War). I just have no time to play and it drives me nuts.

I'm the same way, but now I make time for at least 2 hours a week.......ideally two 2 hour sessions a week.
Luckily, my wife goes to bed early, and then I can play.....late night I'd just be sitting around anyway.
(double edged sword though......late night playing intense games gives me either nightmares or insomnia)
Pretty picky about what I play......I've tried a lot of games, but most don't get me "hooked".

Plus, I enjoy playing music, dickin' with gear, playing MtG with friends, motorcycles, being outside, dealing with owning a house......but don't have kids though.......
So video games don't always rank too high up on my priority list.

I kinda just plug away on a regular basis......got GoW1, GoW2, Mass Effect 1, Bioshock 1, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, NfS Hot Pursuit, Halo 1-4 (brother in-law made me), and Left4Dead under my belt so far.
I have Mass Effect 2, Skyrim, and Far Cry 3 started........
So many to go. lol

I also play Hearthstone and MtG online during my lunch breaks.

Playing Bioshock Infinite now. 2 hours gets me around 5 missions a session.

Playing a bit more of TESO. I'm honestly really liking it, it feels like a regular Elder Scrolls game but with the benefit of having another traveler team up against a boss or to pal around with. It's still very quest and exploration orientated - but the world benefits by feeling so much busier. Noone gets in your way but someone is always around to give you a hand. Crafting is pretty well done and you pretty much need to craft your own Armour atleast in the early stages because you get dumped into the world in literal rags and you need to fend for yourself. But aside from that, it's a very nice co-operative Roleplaying game, I haven't seen any Trolls or shitty behavior in the 9 hours i've played so far. I think that the monthly sub scared off the losers. Haven't had any bugs either.

Just need to take your time with it, it took me a little while to get used to how the game works.

I got into the Galactic Civilizations III Alpha with my press credentials. It is super early, but I can already see it being pretty great.

Been playing Dark Souls 2 lately. I think the game is easier than the previous 2 installments. Don't get me wrong, it is still hard and I am currently having issues with 2 different bosses. But I think they messed up by making the enemies not re spawn after a certain amount of times. Their thought was that you cannot farm the area indefinitely, which is true. But what it also means is you are having problems with an area, and keep playing it, eventually those enemies disappear making your path to the boss easier. So, that is messed up.

The solution I thought of that I think would eliminate both these issues is to have the enemies always remain, but simply have diminishing returns on the amount of souls they give you. This way, you always have to fight them and you can't really farm souls after a while because each kill is only giving you a few souls. Seems like a no-brainer :idk:

What bosses are giving you trouble? I just beat the game a couple weeks ago and can give you some tips if you want.

I don't really need tips, I just need to get my act together. If worse comes to worst, I will summon a phantom to help. I really don't like doing that though unless I am really stuck. I am currently at these bosses:

Baneful Queen Mytha - Earthen Peak. Just got here the other night and haven't put much play into it yet. But she seems pretty fast, long reach, and powerful.

Ruin Sentinels - Lost Bastille.

Do you think Dark Souls 2 is easier than its predecessors also?

Yeah, I do think it's easier. It all depends on the class you pick, I think. My first character I started as a warrior and didn't have too many deaths during the first half of the game...same with the mage. Dual wielding is pretty fucking difficult, though.

For Mytha, did you drain the poison? I won't tell you how, but there's a way to drain the poison pool in the middle of the arena.

The Ruin Sentinels just suck. There's an NPC summon that makes the fight a tad bit easier, but that's a tough fight overall.

Yep, drained the poison. I'll get that bitch soon. That is my vow to you.

Yep, I saw that NPC phantom. Maybe I will give him a try sometime.

I always play as a warrior class.

Are you weapons/armor upgraded as much as they can go? That's a huge deal in this game compared to the others.

Oh, there's also an NPC phantom for the Mytha fight and he's a total badass that will fuck her shit up.

You know what spell is sorely lacking in those games? Fuckin force push. I fucking love pushing things off ledges/cliffs/buildings/stairwells/tables/stoops/tree stumps/moderate inclines/pretty much anything that isn't flat ground. Hell, I like pushing things into other things on flat ground.

There's that one miracle that does an AOE push, you can abuse that against newbies in DS1.
