I watch a bit. I'm more someone who got into MMA through Wrestling, with Brock Lesnar fighting for UFC. My Brock fandom is more because he pisses off the "purists", but he was the main thing that got me into it.

I don't get to watch as much as I'd like (because I refuse to pay more for ESPN over here, when I have no use for everything else on there), but I try and check out UFC shows if I hear good things about them.

I also find myself drawn more to the japanese stuff, like Dream, and of course, PRIDE. One of the coolest things I saw was the 90-minute Kazushi Sakuraba vs Royce Gracie match, in which Sakuraba beat Gracie, under Gracie's own rules.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Nah, I'd rather watch a good old kung fu flick.

How about combining both?

There you go, MMA, more than 20 years before it actually existed. Dana White (UFC president) has called Bruce Lee "the Father of Mixed Martial Arts" in the past.

I'll watch it if there is nothing else on...I saw a fight once where one dude just kept kicking the other guy in the shin. That was the entire fight...until the shin guy could barely stand and gave up.

Oh and I'd let Gina Carano kick my ass any day.

It always looks like a school yard fight to me.
I’d rather watch movies too.

I like MMA, so fuck you all. I don't really KNOW any of the fighters, but I do enjoy a good asskicking ;D

Pretty much the same here. I also know very few of them. I know Brock from his time in WWE, and one or two others.

It does take a while to get into, but once you understand what's going on.

As I said, I tend to prefer the Japanese stuff I've seen. They treat an MMA show like it's a really big deal. The openings to pride shows were HUGE. And the Pride theme song was badass.

UFC doesn't push the boat out like that. Nor do they have the mad banshee woman yelling the fighters' names.

More wackiness:

Marius Zaromskis, walks to the ring dressed as Akuma, and then attempts a hurricane kick mid-fight. And a Hyakkishu. Mental.

Oh, and yes, I love Gina Carano too.

One of my friends at school was really into it, so I watched a few fights, and I like it waaaay more than boxing or pro wrestling. I enjoyed the fight between Fedor and Brett Rogers. Watching Manny Pacquiao is always impressive. And if you think posters at HC are stupid, check out some MMA forums. There are definitely some roided up neanderthals of there, haha.

Yeah, I know Brock from WWE, too. Of course I know Kimbo Slice from internet fame, too. There was a huge MMA thing here where I live not to long ago, but I didn't have the money to go, which sucked, but yeah. I've seen a bit of Japanese pride fighting, but not too much. It's pretty awesome.
