I actually have a '78 (i think, original 5-knobber anyway), BUT when I bought it, I was a complete wreck, so it had to get refurbished. One of the chips was blown as well, so I only have one of the original vintage chips in it. sure it doesn't have the features you mentioned, but it does have THE sound
I don't know if that's the nature of it or if it's because I had a new power section done for it so I can just use a power supply. In hindsight, I should have gone with a power cord. Anyway - it's a bit noisy, but that's kind of a part of the charm to me... analog delays, man
I think I might have played the new XO one, but that didn't do much for me... it was much cleaner sounding and it was nice, but compared to the OG big box one, it doesn't really sound that good
