so i was wondering if there are like a lot of NYC ex-pats in Montreal. i am not sure about this but it sort-of-kind-of seems like it. or is there a decent American ex-pat scene in Montreal.

:)

There's definitely some noise/punk happening around these parts. I just don't know the names of the bands.
About ex-pats, I can't say. Nobody has come up to me and said that.

I like America, and I'm from fuckin' Paris, France for fuck sakes. Apparently everyone loves that place, but whatever D; If I move somewhere, fuck Europe, fuck Canada, fuck Asia. I'm going to mother fuckin' Mexico!

i think Mexico would be cool. definitely not a whole lot of red tape to get into that country like Canada haz. if i was like a lawyer or something i'd move there. Mexico seems more for like retired elderly white people though.

i read a lot of New Yorkers are moving to Paris. that one dude in Sun O)))) lives there. that one dude that wrote the Last Days of Disco lives there. & barf David Sedaris lives there as well. but again. that seems more like an upper-class NYC thing to do. & i am certainly not a romantic. i have never been to Europa & i have no plans to visit anytime soon...

well. the music scene isn't really THAT important to me. i don't go out much anymore anyway. but i know each local music scene has it's own characteristics and such. when i think of Montreal, first band that comes to my mind is Aids Wolf. but that is my perspective. there are others. i would like to hear from them.

i guess that King Khan dude is also from Montreal??? IDK...

also. "global-city"-wise how does Montreal rank inyropinion?

i can't help you there, man. i don't know the criteria and i figure that since we're not global citizens, it really doesn't make a lickin' difference. you can only live in your own country unless you marry into another, get offered a job or are famous.
