I have several friends with great boards that are just mxr, boss, and ehx, but I have no interest in just supporting/promoting/plugging/etc those guys. I have no problem having a few things from the big boys, but I feel much better using something built by someone I've had beers with.

I'm totally weirded out and confused by Sparkhawk he's one of those dudes who play very little and have distinctive and narrow style and sound, yet still blow my mind every time.

Not exactly a pedalboard. .This is a picture of The Notwist last Saturday. Is the instrument in the top left of the photograph some form of xylophone?

I believe it's a vibraphone.
Don't quote me on that though, vibes, xylophones and marimbas all look the same to me.
