Dat Midfi Overdrive
So, it's been out for a little while, but I never hear anything about it really. Not many folks pick one up? What've the people that got one thought? What does the toggle actually do?

Good question - I've been wondering that myself. Really interested to learn more about the Midfi Overdrive because the one demo I've heard sounds great and I love the idea of an envelope filter controlling the drive.Ragged Trousers wrote:What does the toggle actually do?

Re: Dat Midfi Overdrive
the toggle gives 2 different eq/responses and a stronger gate/compressor, so one is a flatter eq with a milder env/comp, and the other is more sharper/upper middle eq with a stronger env/comp
its very interesting in that the gain doesnt really affect the volume level, just saturates it and makes it more sputtery and env/comp, and it keeps a very similar eq throughout the gain range, rather than losing all the treble as the gain goes down (like other drives do with my set up)
my fav setting was the milder drive at low/minimum gain, does that clean/crunch sound really well
would like to have kept it if i didnt need the money and already have too may drives!
