I hate you now.

I have Rock Dream and Feedbacker on Wax, tho, and those are my two faves.

ShaolinLambKiller wrote:I agree with both of you. if I'm going to listen to Boris I rather listen to Absolutego or Amplifier Worship. I just happened to pick up that vinyl on ebay for 7 bucks. it's the 3 lp version in blue. apparently that's rare or something.
I just listened to the first 20 minutes or so of Absolutego, and it's the exact same problem as Sunn. Does it ever actually develop into an actual, like, song? Like some sort of structure to something? Not that I'm necessarily opposed to a noise track, but I have to be in a specific mood for it (which is only once in a very great while)

Yeah at 26 minutes it goes into alternating 9/8 and 16/8 with a 4/4 polyrhythm on the Keytar.

Well they are on the extreme side of it. Perhaps you would like something much more immediate like Sourvein, Electric Wizard, or Graves at Sea. tons of riffage.

If you want to listen to longform Boris, you should do Feedbacker. It's got 5 tracks that make up a whole song, and there's actually, you know, a song. Not just Amp Band stuff.

I am pretty much all about Boris only for their drone stuff. I can do Heavy Rocks or Akuma No Uta once in a while but I'm pretty much fixated on Dronevil, Feedbacker, Flood and the Thing That Solomon Overlooked (that I donwloaded). I hate that dudes singing voice on Pink, etc but their tone/drone is so fucking tight.....

Don't even get me started on the jpop stuff or Smile.... what the fuck ever.....

Flood, Amplifier Worship and Feedbacker are the holy trinity of Boris.
One day I'll get Flood on vinyl, but I'll probably have to kill someone and take their copy.

You guys know Flood's never coming out on vinyl ever, right?

Not officially, anyway.

I'd sub out Amplifier Worship for Pink tho. If I had to do a straight loud amps record it would be Cloud Chamber.

Flood, Feedbacker, Dronevil are ones I've been wanting to listen to I just haven't bought yet. I don't care for their actual rock stuff like the 2 you listed. just doesn't interest me.

Wat, I thought it had been released, but apparently not.
I did really like Praparat, too. And Wata's song on that Ai Aso split.
And Rainbow...
