Maybe because in my response I trashed green muffs. I've loved everything I've heard from people using them and Baby Thundas though because they're just different enough. It's Boris approved too...Derelict78 wrote:Why has no one mentioned the Eau Clair thunder?

Nice track there dude, my mini gas can't get any strongergunslinger_burrito wrote:SS/BS Mini.
This here rough track of mine is all SS/BS Mini. It's been my go-to dirt/fuzz for all my main riffing and sounds. At 3:23 I'm running it through a Robot Devil. Oh, and I'm tuned to drop Bb. And the guitar has doubled high strings, so you''re not hearing a chorus.
Edit: I like it because of the dual EQ. With a lot of bass it gets downright thunderous.

I will always suggest the Skreddy Supa Tone for this kind of job.

Frazz puts out nutso amounts of bass. I tune to D standard or drop C. There is a trimmer inside to control the amount of bass. The low gain side is ungated and goes from sorta medium gain to stupid gain. Then there is the gated side that starts at high gain and just gets sillier. Awesome pedal.Jero wrote:They sound good on guitar too! Though, I do find more settings that I like, in conjunction with bass. Frazz Dazzler perhaps?
And if any further endorsement is needed, it's one of Tom Diggity Dalton's favourite fuzzes.

If I could get another Frazz, but with tone control, and clean volume (instead of mix) it'd be my perfect fuzz I do think.goroth wrote:Frazz puts out nutso amounts of bass. Any bass dudes tried the 3Leaf Audio You're Doom fuzz?

Spencer's pedals always seem like they're built with bass players in mind…

So wait, what does the sizzle do if it isn't a tone? Same goes for the volume on there. Was there a difference between the older ones and ones that are being made now? Feel free to answer these in PM because my interest is piqued in this pedal and I may have additional questions?Jero wrote:If I could get another Frazz, but with tone control, and clean volume (instead of mix) it'd be my perfect fuzz I do think.goroth wrote:Frazz puts out nutso amounts of bass. Re: Bassy fuzz suggestions?
Sizzle I really like. It kinda controls the top end bite, but even turned down a fair bit it doesn't get mucky it just kinda ropes in the sizzle. If you have a dark amp, or want an edgy sound you can run it wide open, or roll off a bit of sizzle for brighter amps or a more laid back fuzz.
Mix sets the mix between fuzz and clean, then volume affects the volume of that mix. Jero wants separate volumes for clean and wet, like on iron ether stuff.
He's kinda crazy like that.
Pm if you want more info!

"Sizzle controls the amount of treble content in the wet signal. Volume controls the level of the wet signal."
I use the Frazz with the mix down low a lot, and I lose some volume capabilities. If you have the mix set completely dry the volume knob does nothing, though the signal will still be unity so that's cool. The lack of "tone" control isn't a huge deal, as you said, there's a sizzle knob (and a bass trim pot). I also run an Elements after it so I can use it to sculpt the Frazz more if needed.

Re: Bassy fuzz suggestions?
Okay this has definitely helped me narrow things down to the TAFM and the Frazz Dazzler. Thanks a bunch you guys I really would've been lost without this thread.
