Bassy fuzz suggestions?
I recently switched over to using a Supachan as my main dirt pedal at the same time my band when from standard to C#. As a result I am having trouble finding a fuzz to put after it that won't cut the absurd bass this thing puts out with both boosts engaged and near max. I'm putting fuzzes in front for the time being, which is better than after, but I'm still not 100% satisfied. Current pedals I own that haven't worked for me: Pharaoh, Algal Bloom, Hyperion, Unpleasant Surprise, and a Soda Might. I'll consider suggestions without clean blends first but I don't have a hard rule against them.

I knew that was going to be the first suggestion if I said clean blends were fair game. My only reservation is I've really only heard people speak for them being great on bass but haven't heard much about them on guitar which is what I'm looking for.Achtane wrote:TAFM for everything all the time

They sound good on guitar too! Though, I do find more settings that I like, in conjunction with bass. Frazz Dazzler perhaps?

I also love the TAFM on guitar. Sounds amazing and all the low end you could ever need, even without the blend.

SS/BS Mini.
This here rough track of mine is all SS/BS Mini. It's been my go-to dirt/fuzz for all my main riffing and sounds. At 3:23 I'm running it through a Robot Devil. Oh, and I'm tuned to drop Bb. And the guitar has doubled high strings, so you''re not hearing a chorus.
Edit: I like it because of the dual EQ. With a lot of bass it gets downright thunderous.

I run a One Knob Fuzz clone, made by theavondon/Donny, after my Clean Chan/Dirty Chan.
I absolutely love the combo.
A mini is another fine choice.
I really miss owning one.

Re: Bassy fuzz suggestions?
Thanks so much for the suggestions you guys! I just got home from work so here's a mega post. I'm definitely checking out the SSBS stuff again and will try to get my hands on some of it. I'm looking for something more of an obvious fuzz sound and a less natural but gross amp tone so I'll probably stick to the TAFM or Buzz over the Mini despite how sweet it sounds. SSStampede seems like another good option, does anyone know how well it stacks since it's pretty much always going to have one boost slamming into it? The Frazz Dazzler seems like it does everything but might be a little harsh for the price tag/already having an Unpleasant Surprise that can do that for leads if I'd want it. I wish I knew about it earlier in my life. I probably wouldn't even have an Unpleasant Surprise. The Leviathan, Helios, and One knobs I just know nothing about really and would need more testimonies/clips to consider like the others. And I have had really meh experience with the Swollen pickle on guitar (it's a killer on bass) and I've had such an indifferent time with various green muffs on bass (personal and hearing other people use them) that I never really considered one on guitar because I hop back and forth all the damn time. Again, thank you guys so much and if anyone else wants to chime in I'll add it to the list to do some heavy inter web spelunking on my coming day off.
