Recommend your favorite tap tempo pedals

Post by leaves turn »

Preferably something with a tap in/out jack that I can sync with a Warped Vinyl. Mostly looking for a really good sounding trem*, and a delay to dethrone the Belle Epoch**.

*Semaphore and SL-20 didn't make the cut :idk:

**I know I could go Strymon but cost and blues lawyers discourage me :erm:

Best thing to sync with a Warped Vinyl?
There's only one answer:
Another Warped Vinyl.

My favourite tremolo's (with tap in):
Dr. Scientist Tremolessence (gorgeous and natural sounding tremolo, the tone control makes it really versatile)
Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper (the craziest of all trems and it sounds great whatever you do with it)

My other favourite pedals (with tap in):
Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl (you know it)
Dr. Scientist Cosmichorus (another beautiful and versatile chorus)
Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man 550TT (my favourite delay of all times, adjustable momentary feedback, timeleap mode, lots of tap divisions, expression control over different parameters, overclocking possibility for lofi delays and an amazing sound that works in just about every situation)
Empress Phaser (great phaser for the weird waveforms such as random etc.)
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

Empress tap trem is my all time favourite trem and one of my favourite guitar sounds of any category. The new control port looks like it might play nice with the warped vinyl, but I am a pedal Luddite so don't listen to me.

Cathedral turns your reverb with little to no pre-delay into crazy washed out ambiance with two taps. I know that doesn't really fit what you're looking for, but I felt I had to say something relevant aside from "my 17 year old self loves your avatar to pieces."

Can you confirm that it works with Warped Vinyl tap? I thought the Tremolessence only had expression control.

The JHS Panther looks pretty cool but it costs more than a Timeline.

And it's made by jhs...

If the documentation on the tremolo2 isn't enough email em. They're knowledgeable and good at customer service.

The Tremolessence is super nice but doesn't have tap tempo that I'm aware of. I really like my SolidGoldFX Stutterbox, but it doesn't have tap in (it IS tap tempo though).
