Sometimes I shuffle. Never when my wife is around. I'd say she's into about 15% of what I like....

we must maintain the integrity of the running order!

i pretty much listen only to transferred mp3s these days, and i remove all the tracks that i dont like, so i always listen to 'whole albums' but some of them are missing a track or 2, or 3

if they are too condensed or short, then i'll make up a double album with the same artists other albums if they condensed too, plus i'll add in any extra b-sides etc, all strictly in chronological order of course

like others said, the music takes you on a journey and the same artist / same time usually has a certain feel and sound, and you want to stay there for a while rather than jumping from one random to another

Yeah, I feel obligated to give you at least a little bit of a hard time since you haven't been around much lately.

I love all Conan. But yeah, Blood Eagle is spectacular. Once begun, it cannot be interrupted. Same deal with Monnos.
I also apply this principle to Om and High on Fire records. They demand your time. You are not permitted to Pick and choose.
Vinyl is the reason us old farts have an attention span.
I know I'm too lazy to interrupt a side.

I just seem to listen mostly to bands whose albums lend themselves to straight through listens.

If I'm exercising though I'll just shuffle my spotify starred list.

In the car? Never. I have stuff that's constantly changing so I don't zone out.

At home? Always. More relaxing and I can pat attention to the music more.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers :)

As well you should, sir.

I would like to note that Mission of Burma encourages putting their albums on shuffle. But then, they're crazy like that.
