Amping keys and vocals quick n' dirty?

Post by Thylacine Dream »

So here's the deal, turning half of my room into a tiny jamspace, drums and my bass are good to go but I don't have anything loud enough to run my bud's microKorg and shitty 1/4"-cabled karaoke mic through. Drummer's got a Marshall 4x12 I can use, so I was thinking of getting a powered mixer to slap on toppa there? Y'all have any better solutions, and if not, what should I be looking for? Bang for the buck but something that'll last. Thanks homies :joy:

Oh and I wanna be able to run guitar through it too. I'd get a little minimixer pedal or something and run the keys through my bass amp alongside me it if that were all I needed louder, but I figure it'd be good to get something with multiple ins and EQs and shit, and take advantage of the available Marshall cab, since I need 3+ things louder (keys, vox, guitar).

Or since I don't have an interface yet but would like to be able to make demos once I learn Garageband/Reaper better, maybe get an interface with 3+ ins and a power amp? I have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.2

Gotta get a powered mixer like you said to power a cab... Roland and Peavey Keyboard amps are usually 3 input... The Peaveys have a 15 and sound good with guitar, keys, bass and kinda vocals...

Huh, cool, I'll look into that, certainly would be more compact. Any mixer brands/models to look for/stay away from?

Deeeyum, thanks man. You think those would be loud enough to hang with a drummer and my Kustom KB500/Neo115?
