Bah I hope BP gets their shit together. My Whores/Rabbits split should arrive soon (hopefully intact) and I haven't heard from them in a couple months about the Clean repress but they said they'd send a new copy

Goddamit. More BS with BP? WTF FUBAR!

Fucked the fuck up what Whores had to go through. I have to think it's an issue with who is actually pressing the vynl and I bet at this point Putal Banda are shitting bricks and working on getting a new thing going with a different company. If not they are dumb and deserve what will follow.

Hopefully this.

I'm considering offing my Orange 2x12 in favour of a hiwatt hg412.
This one:

Thing is, I dunno if the "hiwatt designed speakers" are worth it. Could they be any worse than vintage 30s?
I want to get a 412 eventually, and I was thinking Hiwatt or Orange are the way to do it right now.
All reports say these sound ok. I don't think anyone in Brissie stocks em though.

And so a lot of people who would not be into the music go to the shows and "love" the music and really just bring down the experience of being at the show. I like the band and sunbather is good but certainly not the spectacular level that all the blogs and other media have trumpeted it to be as a must have album.
This. Their first demo is my favorite, the next album is next, and sunbather is interesting the first listen but to me gets old quick.

Also this happened over the weekend:

Next step: Electronic Drums :animal:
Ifeel the same way about their stuff as you. The demo is the best one to me.

Also, that rig is fucking excellent.

Listening now. Dat solo! And then it slams in with that older Neurosis era riff. Fucking Killer!

EDIT: just got to the second solo. I need to go practice, this makes me feel inferior as a guitarist. I have slacked off of everything besides riffing for the past year as I was trying to get comfortable playing and singing at the same time. I gotta get back on my game. Also, what kinda reverb do you have on the leads? I like it because it doesn't muddy everything up.
dazedbyday wrote:Wanted to share a bit of cheer with you guys but it turns out it isn't so great. I got my whores/rabbits split from Brutal Panda today. I paid for their subscription to get a bunch of 7" as they are released but I don't know when I'm getting them. They turn into nice surprises for me. So when I cam home today and found it waiting for me I was excited. The whores side played fine but the rabbits side has a scratch across the entire disc making that side impossible to play. It just skips over and over again. Sad shit.
Brutal Disappointment :(

Also, just got an email back from that guy on Craigslist with the Matamp GTO. Says now he'll take 1500 for it. Hit it or quit it?

I mean, that's a little high unless it's in astonishingly good condition. But if it is, you'll be able to break even if you ever decide to part ways with it.

Ok, didn't know that.
Go for it?

Also, that Galaxicon is purdy.
I digulate.
And conk, nothin wrong with devoting one's self entirely to the riff.

I just watched the first ep of Vikings, season 2.
I got a bit teary....mostly because as cool as Ragnar is, he's also a dick.

Looks pretty damned close to mint in the pics. I think it was kept in a road case. And its close to me so I wouldn't have to pay shipping.

I love the way the Orange sounded, but I got an offer for it that I couldn't refuse. Figured I'd flip it and put it towards a reasonable priced model t or maybe one of those Hex clones. This Matamp though has me curious and I dig the tones, I just have no idea about reliability (heard the horror stories) or how much they go for. I figure if I could get it for low enough that I can make my money back on a flip then it's worth a shot to get my hands on one for a little bit just to see firsthand what they are all about. And yeah, it's run with the Soldano. That sumbich ain't going nowhere.

No such thing as too much echo on the vocals.

Earmarked to listen tomorrow am

I think you should get it. Those two together should sound awesomesauce.

Yeah that track got so bleak towards the end, empty. It was killer.

Yeah you should be able to make 1500 back no problem if it's in clean condition. If you can swing it, do it up.
