Fuck yeah it does. Stevie Floyd of Dark Castle/Taurus uses that one.

Yeah I haven't really jelled with any of the basses hes made so far but I would definitely order a custom shape one from him. I would rock an oversized Nomad or Morningstar bass in a heartbeat, especially if it was 35" scale.

Too pointy for me.

related: Studies show Stevie from Dark Castle's still a babe even though she plays pointy guitars.

BUMP

I'm playing a lot of Bass VI in a new band, and the number of options for Bass VIs are extremely limited. And, I'm kiiiinda looking for something not inherently vintage-y. Considering I have a pretty traditional offset-esque Agile bass VI, and I've been currently playing a Danelectro VI, I've realized that they both have their limitations. I'd have to get a mastery for the offset, and since it was cheap, the truss rod just won't move. The Danelectro is a Danelectro, generally kinda wonky, but it plays amazing. But like, wood bridge, hollow, dinky single coils, etc.

THUS, I'm considering a Monson. You think he'd do a bass VI? It's kinda just a big guitar, really. I'm kinda in between wanting a Nomad or Doomsayer, coincidentally. I'm into the idea of something different, and the wood stained guitars I've seen him do are just gorgeous. Plus, the idea of an easy to play-and-also-chug-on bass VI is just really appealing.

Donny.....

DO IT!!!

He can do just about any scale you want but he up charges for baritone and longer scales. Hit up Brent and talkt o him he's super easy to work with and great at communication. Plus if your not completely sold on a design he can always make you one that is completely your own.

If and when I buy my next guitar it will be a 26.5" scale 7 string slightly oversized Monson Nomad with neck through and string through body loaded with ceramic BKP Warpigs.....
