When I think "blues" SRV isn't one of the first 10 names that come to mind.
No slight to him, the music that fella played was some kind of hybrid/fusion interpretation when he wasn't channeling Jimi.

But his fanboys and impersonators are insufferable enough to make anyone "hate blues".
And Texas just goes big on everything. So naturally their wannabes are worse.
Also TGP's primary demographic centers around babyboomers, who tapped-out in the 1980s and drink the FNC Kool Aid.
So it's fun to mock the crotchety old codgers yelling at clouds. Especially when so many have genuine anger and contempt toward Gen X and every subsequent generation...in spite of the fact they, themselves are to blame for raising [them] and clearcutting their children's future.
