An Apology about the SupaChan/Mellowtone thing

Post by letsgocoyote »

Just popping in, to formally apologize for the stupid crap in regards to people not getting their Supa Chan pedals. To clear things up, yes, everyone who ordered one did finally receive their pedal. Thanks to Tom for helping sort out who was still due theirs. Some people got theirs in a reasonable time, many did not, and some more got theres in a truly unreasonable amount of time. But they all got them. So my apologies to those of you who had to wait. That is my fault and completely inappropriate. I don't want to make excuses because it of course was outright bad business. However, to be brief, as I saw some good old ILF vets speculating in a thread I stumbled on... they think I over extended myself, and I think they are totally right. I liked doing the limited runs like the Melxowtone and the Melx 2, the original CC/DC. However, each one got progressively more complex, the SupaChan even more so. There were some certain rough things going on at the time, I thought I was good, but in retrospect doing a large ltd run was a bad idea. The SupaChans were to complex, there were too many to do, and I made them way too cheap because I wanted people to afford them. Long story short, those factors made it really unmotivating to do the builds, and I was burnt out on pedals in general anyway, burnt on trying to work through wholesaling to retailers, blah blah blah and also I was depressed. So it was oddly difficult to do something as simple as solder some pedals that people had paid for. I'm good now, not depressed, and feel good. People deserved an apology, rather than me going into hiding. So those are the basic reasons behind the extreme and innappripriate delays, but Im glad Tom helped me to have the chance to come correct and get people their pedals. Despite what was going on with me personally and my lapse of judgement, I hope those of you affected can accept this apology.

Have a good one ;)

Hey Eric, thanks for stopping in to explain things, Eric. Glad to hear that you're doing well - I hope the Masters program treats you right, and that you stop by more often.

So, I just thought I'd say, I own a CC/DC and it is my favorite pedal.
I was really sorry to read about everything that went down, but I'm glad to hear you're doing well.
Thank you for stopping by to say hey and let us know how you're doing!
