Pedal-a-day Giveaway 3/14

Post by Gone Fission »

Someone delete if this isn't kosher to post, but I thought the heads up might be appreciated by some:

Guitar Center (yes, fuck them) are doing a month-long giveaway this month, daily entry for daily draws of pedals or related stuff. Free online entry, no social media stuff to mess with. Hopefully ILF-ers will win some chunk of it, with other ILF-ers calling dibs on the flip.

I will climb up the ranks this month to become giveaway person chooser at guitar center and I will give all the pedals to ILF.

Also, it's about damn time GC got in on this marketing. Look at how it's made Pro Guitar Shop such a huge contender in the music retail game!

But seriously, the less I have to do with GC, the better off I probably am. Break out your foil hats, folks...this is a tried and true way to get us to willingly fork over contact info to private interests, and have yourself added to a database for marketing/research lists, which will be distributed among advertising affiliates of the shady parent company (Bain in this case) and sold to anyone willing to pay, without permission and for the sole purpose of being able to better push more profitable crap in our faces.

How much better would this post be if I didn't use punctuation and went all caps? ALL CAPS NO PUNCTUATION BECAUSE THATS HOW YOU SOUND LIKE A RAVING LUNATIC AND THAT MEANS ITS TIME TO BREAK OUT THE GLOWSTICKS AWW YEAH I AM A POET AND I KNOW IT BIG BROTHER BRO LOL THIS IS A TRIED AND TRUE WAY TO GET US TO WILLINGLY FORK OVER CONTACT INFO TO PRIVATE INTERESTS AND HAVE YOURSELF ADDED TO A DATABASE FOR MARKETING RESEARCH LISTS WHICH WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AMONG ADVERTISING AFFILIATES OF THE SHADY PARENT COMPANY BAIN IN THIS CASE AND SOLD TO ANYONE WILLING TO PAY WITHOUT PERMISSION AND FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF BEING ABLE TO BETTER PUSH MORE PROFITABLE CRAP IN OUR FACES

Much better. Now all I need is an X-Files t-shirt and to kickstart growing a patchy, unkempt beard but facial hair makes my face itchy.

One cool thing about modern America is that you don't have to worry about choosing to mortgage your privacy, it's already been done for you.

I won also! Sort of sketched about sending them personal info to claim the prize, but this pedal power mondo thing should rescue me from the daisy chain rats nest hell that I am in now.
