Awesome, but for sanity's sake please stop making my brains think things!! This is seriously the smartest guitar > midi UI I've ever seen.

Q: does having those wires and tape get in the way of playing at all, or is it fine once you get used to it being there?

Yup, and I'm thinking a ribbon controller to mount next to the bridge could be super cool for all sorts of crazies. Not that I will likely ever get there with my already GIANT project list, but...
