Polytope weird stuttering

Post by Dramatis Persona »

Hello there, I noticed that there is a strange tremolo\stuttering effect at slowest settings (or fixed) with aboundant detune (more the pitch is detuned more is the "tremolo" speed, like a crazy ringmod).
I think it is very annoing, I found the same "issue" with the DMMTT modulation, using the memory man like a vibrato pedal, with slowest speeds, I can ear the same stuttering.
It's very strange, it's like a hidden LFO inside the main LFO. :idk:
Is it normal?

It could be some sort of aliasing maybe? Although I don't know where that could come from. Or the lfo is generated via a pwm and on the lowest rate settings the filter doesn't block out all the pulses? Maybe? Idk. Maybe your unit is faulty, I really don't know. Have you tried emailing them?

I eard the Prymaxe demo, with higher depth settings there are this strange lfo, especially I'm the manual mode. It sounds like an old school sampler, higher is the pitch, faster is the speed of the sample!
