There are a couple of different meatheads with different input and output caps which explains things a bit.

I've got plenty of fuzz, maybe a bass heavy drive post fuzz would help achieve the Brootz I'm looking for.

Behringer Super Fuzz is a great choice.......i even like mine better than an actual fz-2.

Other cheapies i like and use:
Danelectro d-7 fab fuzz
Behringer VD-1
Noisemaker Donner Party

If you can build one your self try a Onesie/Bazz Fuss, or Wooly Mammoth, or a Meathead

A Boss HM-2 with the eq section tweaked a certain way.

Black Forest?
Is the correct answer to all of life's difficult questions.

Muffs are good, just roll the presence off your amp and smash that neck pup.

Still the PV Rock Master. I'm not able to drive it real hard though... And even slightly cranking that thing will rattle walls. That's why I'm thinking stacking...

That Behringer is probably worth a shot for $20!

Yeah, I highly recommend the Behringer Super Fuzz. It's a way accurate clone of my favorite Super Fuzz variant. Also, doom as fuck.

It's just a question of input and output cap choice on the Meathead. All options can be covered with the addition of two switches. And that's about £2.50 worth of components in there...Don't be a Meathead, buy a clone. From me, if you like.
