When you post replies like that, I find it impossible not to read them hearing Pilkington's voice in my head.

Out of the handful of YBA-1's that I've played, non of them had any real headroom. It went from bedroom level cleans to dirty.

Yup, this. Not super saturated, but just lightly pushed tube breakup pretty right off the bat. That's why I love my YBA-1 actually, it's just dirty enough that I really like pedals in front of it for guitar and just enough breakup for what I like when I'm not using pedals with bass. Once you run out of headroom, by about noon or so on the volume, then it starts actually getting thick, distorted and compressed sounding. I haven't often used that tone, but it sounds good straight in or with a little boost, for that well known kind of pushed bassmaster/old Marshall tone. When it's "clean" it's not super pristine, spanky clean, but it's not fuzz and mud. I pretty much never play totally clean though, I like a little hair even on my clean tones.

Got this snazzy looking motherfucker today. Holy damn it sounds great - the little alien knob is a preamp that can overdrive just the repeats, which means it can go from pretty clean to very dirty and lofi. I sold my Alter Ego (just too many options and modes and shit) and bought this on a whim to see if I liked it before just buying another Disaster Transport. After messing around with it for a bit this evening, I doubt I will be picking up another delay any time soon.

Thanks for the praise, you guys. It means a lot to me.

Jake's bass is an RD-inspired First Act that they made for him.

Indeed it is. I'm glad to see Whores. making waves. They are stupid loud, especially to be a three piece. I've seen Weedeater numerous times, and Whores. is the only band I've brought earplugs to. They are flat out cave in your chest loud, but still manage great tone and a solid mix. WIZARDS OF TOANZ.
I would just like to go on record as saying

fuck weedeater.

And Philippe at Caroline is doing some wicked stuff. Everything he's done so far has just been fantastic.

We can't all endorse Jim Marshall's rare high powered guitar amplification units whisk.

I'm having one of those gear epiphany moments that involves stereo rig....guitar and bass amps....
Kinda wanna go my BAT>guit amp one side and then BossFZ-2>bass (Sunn beta?) the other.
Can Sunn bass heads (ss is fine) still be had on the cheaps?
Also, Peavey KVLT is fine.
Finding cheap bass cabs down here is what will fuck me in the arse though.
Also, are there any FZ-2 clones that aren't fucking behringer?
I know the FZ2 is a superfuzz, but the other superfuzz clones don't do the evil shit that the Boss does.
Am I fucking crazy?
Edit: EQD Terminal?

We've had this talk before  I mention them because they have the reputation for being loud. After seeing both bands in the same space, you guys were definitely louder and kept them tones.

And yes, Caroline is knocking shit clean out of the park. I will definitely be trying some of their other pedals in the future.

There was a dude over at hcfx that would do something very similar and ran one side of his rig into a bass amp with some octave down goodness with pretty fantastic results in a two piece band. I say go for it, and if you don't like it, at least your most of the way to having a bass rig :animal:

I don't think the Terminal is a superfuzz, but I could be wrong, and it may still get you those tones.

The Terminal is based on a Jax brand Companion Fuzz, so it's a cousin and can do some of the wacky shit

Thoughts on two guitarists? It seems like the norm is one, but I'm thinking, just like amps and cabs; Moar= better(heavier).
