I would say to just build your own or have someone that has the skills to build one for you. You could buy a Happy Ending Kit and build a box around it, or buy a Bento Box.

Ikea Rast makes a good DIY case.

I haven't done a modular in one, but I've got three set up for normal rack gear. Just add 6u ears. No reason to pay more for a rack that doesn't travel.

I have and like the rast setup, trouble is I move things around a lot, from home to our jam space to gigs etc and am looking for a more travel friendly setup. With almost 400 hp of euro rack it's a lot of shit to move. I would build my own, carpentry I can do I'm just really not confident in my working with the psu setup, I suppose we'll see.

Edit: I don't take all of my racks to everything but if it all fit in one big travel case I might start, which would be nice to have more of my setup available.

Let me check the dimensions of a case that I have. It would require some kind of frame installed but I am sure it can be done.

Serge has "boats", they cost a bit to get from STS (Serge Builder). For DIYing in the 4u Serge-ish world, people use Bud boats which are pretty cheap. Besides the boats, a lot of people install them in racks with rack ears on the boat or they put them in some sort of enclosure.

This is from last night, I was messing around trying to make some Acid Bass Sounds. The first minute is decent and maybe the last 1:30-2 minutes is good. There is some aimless exploring that wasn't too interesting between. The drums are from my Octatrack. I did end up recording bass stuff solo so I can I chop it up in the Octatrack and go nuts with it there.

Spending the night at work because of snow that'll hit around 3am. So I brought along my modular and my El Cap to jam out and keep myself occupied tonight:

It's an interesting guy. I've been a long time user of Trogotronic stuff, but it'd been table top units before I got this one.
I'm a little hot and cold with it. If I had a regular oscillator to go with it (I'm looking at you, Dixie v1) I think I'd be a little bit more happy.
I think what bugs me is that when you send CV to it, it can either be REALLY responsive, or just not do anything at all.
Depending on the situation you can get it to be rhythmic if you want it to and the cycle feature is pretty cool (which the table top unit doesn't have)
It can't do a pure square very easily, but it has SO much texture in it. It can sound a little thin at times, but I send it through the MMG to fatten it up

I've actually just started building a case! 378HP pine case layed out as three 126HP rows. Cut some pine yesterday, and will start drilling screw holes, and sanding them this week. Stain and varnish. Shape-wise it's just the upright rectangular kind. I don't have the skills for angled cases or curves.

Also been working on a sequencer that has a CV-assignable step position mode. Here it is being fed a sine and played around with
