Charvel custom shop. 2 grand.

Pretty much describes the last two basses I've had.
It would rule even more w/stringthrough. Also Donny, pictures of your basses need posted.

I'd been GAS-free for a week or more, feelin' pretty good... then I had to go and watch some Hollow Earth demos.

Speaking of Hollow Earth and hen's teeth, Willy's got one up in the BST at an extremely reasonable price...

Pretty sure I could pick it up locally, too. Trouble is I already have multiple trem-like effects on my board.

Were there things about the EGC that you didn't really jive with?
Or was it that glorious tradebait?

It felt completely different than my Grabber. Which, no shocker there. But like, completely different necks.
Mostly that sweet sweet tradetang though.

Lately I just keep thinking I need to downsize my basses.... stash my first bass which isn't getting used but I won't ever sell. Prolly sell the USATK even though it's my only active and has such an amazing neck
and then buy a VM Jag...

My b. This guy:
I already have a Blacktop jag which I love, but there's not a lot of tonal variety there, so I was thinking the VM... but then you posted that HH and wondered if it made more "sense" (?) to look for one of those instead so I can keep my humbuckers and have access to the jag tone circuits. Hrmmmmm. Not sure but I should probably think about it all day instead of doing any of the work I have to do.
