Re: Whammy 5 with Molten MIDI 5
I have the Molten midi 2 with the whammy 4, and I have to say that it's loads of fun! Creating the different patches is super easy with the PC software! The only thing I'm sad about is that you can't do program changes in a patch. That means when you program something on the oct down, oct up harmony you can only use that. you can't switch to 2 oct up pitch shift within that patch.
But yeah, I use it for silly funny and noisy stuffs. It has enough room to store the presets and you can save the tempo with the preset, so you don't have to tap it manually every time.
It's super fun to play with and super useful. I use it for arpeggios and harmony stuff. I bet the Whammy 5 works way better for that with the chords mode, but the 4 has that glitchy sound when you hit it with a chord. I love that.

Things I forgot to mention:
The Molten Midi power jack is center +. So you need to get a polarity change cable to use it with the pedal power supply.
And you might want to check out the "WhammyD". It's an alternative to the Molten midi, and I think it's "better" than the molten midi, but also more expensive.
zCech it out here: http://smirnovelectronics.com/en/whammyd2/
