I agreed with this when I was really into them [when I was 14] but anymore I can't listen to anything other than kill em all [although master IS their best album to me over all], and really there is a chunk in the middle of RTL that is meh to me..

RTL's my favorite Metallica album. Trapped Under Ice and Creeping Death are just fuckin great. I was gonna agree with Weezer but I'm just not sure, in part due to nostalgia.

Krallice: Dimensional Bleedthrough > S/T
Baroness: Blue Record > Red Album (OH SHIT NO HE DIDN'T YES HE DID)

I listened to both albums back to back today while cleaning my apartment. As usual, I was right; My Aim is True is superior in every possible way. Don't get me wrong - This Year's Model is a great album, but just not on the same level as MAIT.
Noooooope.

My Aim is True sounds like crap is one of the big problems for me. Production is rubbish on that album. It's not that it's poorly recorded or low quality, I just hate the mix and arrangements, and there's stupid boring fiddly guitar fills all over it that annoy me.

I think I rate the songs about equally but TYM sounds 10x as nice.

I find almost all of Kill 'em All to be rubbish. Four Horsemen and Whiplash are really the only two good songs on it.

As for RTL, Fight Fire with Fire, Trapped Under Ice, Creeping Death and Call of Ktulu are superior to on Kill 'em All

Master is by far their best album, and Justice is pretty fucking good, too. Although ever since that one guy recorded all of the basslines and mixed them in, that's really the only version of the album I listen to anymore

Justice RULES. I don't want to hear some guy that's NOT JASON play bass on it, but I have checked out that one track that was remixed for guitar hero and Jason kills when you can actually here him. Puppets rules too. The 5.98 EP is just total awesome, except for the Misfits covers which feel just phoned in at the best of times. KemAll has some great tracks but Ride The Lighting is their masterpiece.... although Phantom Lord is just the fuckin' jam man, best shit ever.

I bought Ride the Lighting in 1990 when I was 10 and it's still one of my favourite records ever.... that shit is the fuckin' most awesome shit ever.....

Well, maybe it's because I'm a bassist, but I'd rather hear some dude who's not Jason playing bass on it, than to hear it with no bass at all. I think it sounds like crap to just hear guitars and drums with no bass. Since it's obvious they still have Jason's master tracks from that album, I wish they had done a big 25th anniversary rerelease with the album remixed with the bass put back in.

Say, what is the song (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes about? I was told it was originally left off the USA release because it was too UK-centric and USA folks wouldn't understand it. Which I don't. Still a great song though. Please enlighten us stupid Americans.
 Maybe it would help! And I have no idea what that song's about either. :idk:
