Just got my first new music of the year in the post! New Warpaint album, firing it up now. I have high hopes.

EDIT: Well, first listen, it's definitely good, but did I love it? Not totally. Hopefully it'll be a grower because there's bits in it that were omfgamazing even first time round, hearing the whole thing a bit more might bring out more of that.

Been obsessed by this record for years but just picked up this deluxe edition and have been completely obsessed by the guitar sounds on every track. Band was all English studio guys and the guitar player was a guy called Alan Parker (not the film director), who apparently also did the guitar parts on "Rebel, Rebel" and "1984" on Bowie's "Diamond Dogs". According to Wikipedia he now composes for film and TV. Anyone know anything about him? Dude could play like the bejesus.
