The flanger section has a few unique controls and combined with the phaser is doubly awesome. It will get you that tone and a slew of others.
Doesn't look like it's available anywhere.
When all else fails, always check the bay :)

Funny you should mention it, cause I just recently watched a demo for this one. Sounds good. Filtery awesomeness.
It's been on my main board for almost 4 years - I love it
A sleeper pedal that definitely deserves more attention.

I've tried it by itself, never in a band setting. I liked it, but I like the GNI (and others) more.

WAY more.

I've had the big one for several years now. With the extra knobs there are so many sounds you can get out it. Having control of the regen is so important to getting different sounds and everything is like majorly interactive and its just fun to sit and twiddly twiddly with. Plus its got the filtery, static LFO sounds like that Lastgasp Misty Cave (Name?). And I've gotten two at sub $100 on the bay.

Flanger is by far my favorite and most-used mod effect, and I've probably owned at least 20 different ones over the years. That being said, I sold most of my mods off to buy the Mobius last winter, and I'm shocked how satisfied I am with all of the different flanger models on it. It has an MXR model, a Mistress model, an ADA model with both + and - regen, and a kick-ass thru-zero mode with + and - as well. It's probably not worth the cash if you only want it for the flanger, but in that case, I'd say check out the Orbit instead. From what I understand, the flanger algorithms on the Mobius are all lifted straight out of the Orbit.

I know chiefy and I both agree on this little gem too:

I've had 4 of them over the years - all because I wanted one on each board I had.

Hellz yeah!! That is actually the only stand-alone flanger that I didn't sell off when I bought the Mobius. I don't have it on my board right now, but I always keep it in my bag of extra crap that I take with me to practice and recording days. I've needed it a couple times when I wanted to have two different mods going at the same time.

Damn, I need manual flange (or phase) in my life. Time to build one or maybe sell mine and upgrade. I've seen a few people complain about the micro flange being too subtle but that's what I like, and use it for...unless its got fuzz with it. There's nothing subtle about that

About the a/da, there is another cool feature with the threshold knob. It works as a sort of noise gate so any noise from your signal chain doesn't trigger the flange when not playing. But it can also work for setting how your playing interacts with the flanger....I.e. play soft notes and it doesn't flange, play harder and it does. I don't know if any demos showcase this, it's pretty cool feature.

I need to sell some stuff first.
I'm pretty sure I'll get the AD/A Flanger.
