I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of drawing a schematic for this. I also added a power filter cap (C4) and polarity protection diode (D2) and a Volume pot (since it was not shown on the layout). Feel free to disregard the stuff I added. :thumb:

Oh, and while I was at it, I did a quick PCB layout as well. If you want the Eagle files, let me know. You can upload to OSHpark.com and have a couple protoboards made for next to nothing. :!!!:

Well, you're just the best, aren't you? I mean that with no sarcasm, seriously. The only thing I'd possibly leave out is the volume pot, because, you know, I lack subtlety. But,

I would suggest a coupling cap from the collector of Q1 to the gain pot so you're not putting DC on the pot. They tend to crackle when you do that. Also, without that coupling cap, that pot is a 100k resistor in parallel with the transistor and that may be why your circuit doesn't behave well with other transistors.

I was going to suggest that as well.

Ancient Astronaught liked the sound clip of my last DuoVibe build, but wanted a very conservative look with no markings on it. Easy!

I'll let him decide on which knobs.

^^ Hope that's not considered "backdoor spamming". I do not sell these as part of a business. These are personal builds.

Small, simple, effective. It's what I do.

Plus then it leaves people guessing what I'm using.

I need to get a polytune mini but I can make it fit, my great photography skills (   ) lead to a lil illusion, theres def some room inbetween the wah and riser where I could fit the mini tuner. Which then leaves my big tuner up for a second small board, or I could do a second mini board and put just my tuner and ABY (which currently sits on the floor) on there.

do it dude, I'mma post a demo when it comes in if that will help push you over the edge.

Hey, pickdropper! Nice to see you over here. This is actually where I first dove into pedal forums, and somehow found Madbean based on someone mentioning the Pork Barrel in a thread.

I want to hear the Something Fuzz. Looks like a lot of fun...

My First ever SMD build

Nice sounding overdrive. Not sure Ill use the pedal, but its a landmark as my first attempt ever at SMD
It wasnt too hard but damn are those things tiny, and hard to unpack from the stick little cardboard sleeve...

Bypass is 1776 Finish Line relay.

this happened as an accident, but I liked it to I kept it the same. I used a whiteout marker to label the knobs on my Dirge Super Hard Stampede a year ago, and I was using acetone and a q-tip to take of the white out and it made this effect. so I kept it like this. looks better in person.

These two circuits were designed by CultureJam and Madbean, my two brothers in Function f(x). As such, I felt the artwork was appropriate.
