It's not that noisy at all. Just a tiny little bit of noise may be introduced depending on which other pedals you're playing at the time.
It doesn't really change the way I play with dirt/fuzz, it just really adds a little sustain, compression (duh) and saturation.

I like the Accountant second in my chain after the Whammy, on pretty much all the time. At 1:1, the compression isn't overbearing and it gives a good amount of sustain. I don't think the Accountant is a noisy pedal, but it will bump up the noise floor of anything placed in front of it. That's just what compressors do.

Fairfield: making compressors cool on ILF since 2014.....
That video was hilarious. I like how "the host" was more excited by the presonus headphone amp than any of the pedals, and also how he kind of implied he was planning on breaking into someone elses party specifically to eat their food....

It's been awhile since I've played around with a compressor but I always go back and forth on, "is there really that much of a difference where anybody would even notice aside from me?"Chankgeez wrote:It's not that noisy at all. I get them in the context of recording but otherwise I'm torn.

That's because it was a PreSonus promo tool.retinal orbita wrote:... I like how "the host" was more excited by the presonus headphone amp than any of the pedals...
Yeah, usually I'll just go with another gain pedal.Casavettes wrote:It's been awhile since I've played around with a compressor but I always go back and forth on, "is there really that much of a difference where anybody would even notice aside from me?"
