Need, I already have at least one song idea that incorporates this through a very tricky manipulation of the infinite repeat on my Digitech PDS 20/20 :!!!:

Well that was crazy. I had no idea what I was seeing at first and had to look into those guys:
We play instruments that can’t really be called instruments. I play a fluorescent light tube and he plays lasers that shoot out of a drum kit,” optron (light tube) player Ito said

Ok guys, I have a dude building me an instrument with LEDs in the fingerboard - is there a chip or something I can buy that will allow the LEDs to light up when I play a note like this guy's tube does? A sound-to-light converter? :hello:

From what little I know usually When the LEDs are responsive to playing they are in the input signal. I'm not sure how else you could do it unless you were using LEDs as diodes, but I'm sure someone else knows otherwise

Wire the LEDs so that they are grounded via each fret. Put the battery ground at the bridge. That way the circuit is only complete when you fret a note. I haven't thought this through...

Might something simple like this work? http://www.abra-electronics.com/product ... r-Kit.html

It's a fretless instrument. Is the grounding still possible?
