Favorite small labels past/present?

Post by D.o.S. »

Well?

I got inspired by the small labels thread, and I know a lot of us have our own labels/have relationships with pretty under the radar groups, so maybe it would be a good thing to have a thread to check things out?

Still around:
Important Records - http://www.importantrecords.com/
Tee Pee Records - http://teepeerecords.com/
Neurot Recordings - http://www.neurotrecordings.com/

Sort of still around:
Hydra Head Industries - http://www.hydrahead.com/
12th Records - http://www.12threcords.com/

Not Still Around:
Leaf Hound Records (discography here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaf_Hound_Records )
Man's Ruin (disco here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man%27s_Ru ... iscography)
good deals are here.
flesh couch is here.

Another vote for Hydra Head. Shaped my musical path more than most other labels out there.

I gotta think about the others

Trance Syndicate really did it for me in the early-mid 90's...

Also Stones Throw, Ubiquity, MUSH, Quannam, Creation, Too Pure, Sub Pop, Matador, Am Rep, and forgetting some...
