So for those of you who have experience with Wampler pedals...I'm torn between a buying a Paisley Drive or waiting for a Euphoria to possibly come in at my local music store so I can try it out and see which one I like better. I'm trying real hard not to pull the trigger on one before that happens.
I've played the Paisley Drive and I really liked how it responded to my picking more than anything else. I felt it was a little too bright and normally I would hate something like that...but it didn't bother me for some reason. It was silky smooth. It just sang under my fingers. However, I'm nervous that I'd bring it home and the brightness would start to get to me. Either way, I tried out a few overdrives the day I played it and that was my favorite.
But from what I've read, the Euphoria might be a little closer to what I'm actually looking for tonally..but I haven't actually played it. And since the actual responsiveness of the Paisley Drive was my favorite part of the pedal...I'm really curious to see how the Euphoria feels since they're made by the same manufacturer. Demo videos have helped me make a lot of my purchasing choices since my local store only carries so many brands, but when it comes to overdrives and certain types of fuzz, its tough to tell from a video because a really good overdrive or fuzz doesn't just sound good..it feels good.
But anyway...I'm getting impatient and I want a new overdrive. I was wondering if any of you guys have played both pedals and what you're thoughts were on them. And perhaps what else you guys might suggest that might sound/feel similar. Thanks!

Wampler doesn't get a ton of attention here as far as I know but I think you'll find a lot more qualified opinions at The Gear Page. I do however find that really bright pedals tend to sound worse for recording in my experience, maybe go with the Euphoria.
