They are working on adding food and becoming more like a bar, which is ok in my book. Next time you come down this way we should pop in and have a pint or two.

Wish the Whores tour was hitting west coast.
Crazy- I haven't been in that place in years but I used to occasionally buy cigars and other smoking....utensils there, before they had beer. I'll be in Tacoma tomorrow- I'll text ya if I get done helping my mom before band practice.

I too wish those dirty Whores were coming west- Clean is in constant rotation still

putting the ceiling up in the thunderdungeon
in between the joists:
acoustic tile
roxull safe n sound
r13 insulation
1-1/4" styrofoam
then a layer of acoustic tile over the joists
hopefully this keeps the jams in the basement a bit
some guy bought the building next door
took down 2 apartments worth of drop ceiling
thats where most of the material has come from
the walls are 2 layers of acoustic tile
styrofoam
r13
2 of the walls are stone foundaition underground
any tips on containing the noise even more greatly appreciated
now i just wish you guys could come over and jam
john brought his p.a. over so we got vocal capabilitis now too
its so fuckin awesome down there

shit i forgot i have to build a door goddammit

i. also forgot to say
i put in two outlets in there also
they both have there own breaker in the panel
one for my rig
and one for the p.a. and acoustic/earth rig(for visiting guitar/bassists)
so in theory should be no outside noise issues
weiners crossed

Have a good tour duder. Reggie's will be saddened by your absence.

Seriously doombros. If this tour passes within a reasonable distance of your town, you owe it to yourself to go check them out. Bring earplugs.
Thanks breaux. You my dog.

That's so awesome. Making me so jealous.
Can't jam too loudly in my basement.
Bought a cool house in a neighborhood full of old Polish people. They're all very awesome (One of them used his snow blower on my sidewalk today so I only had to shovel the driveway).

Sadly they're not interested in my own personal doom room.

Wait, don't you have one already?
Nope I actually don't own any BAT pedals at the moment. I did get one from the original preorder many moons ago but as usual my tastes went in a different direction.

I think I'm just GASing unnecessarily, I got my new looper / booster from Dirge yesterday and with it in my pedalboard setup my dirt sounds are amazing. Crunchy yet thick, chords to single notes everything is clear and palm muting speed riffing sounds amazing. So maybe down the road I'll pickup a 5150 or 6505 as they run pretty cheap usually but for now I'm good.

Need some help here guys. I've recently joined a metal/hardcore band on vocals. Except I can't write lyrics for shit. As in, I can't write enough lyrics to cover a whole song. Anyone have any writing tips?

Become less picky, things dont NEED to rhyme, or make sense.

Start by humming along to the song, and find where the spcae for words is, then fill that space with real words.

Get a basic concept about what idea or feeling you want to convey and use that as a starting point.

These are of course just a few ideas, but have worked for me. carrying around a small notebook helps as well, so you can jot down stuff anytime.

Just make up shit and yell it- at least to get started. If you're into 'real words' or whatever, you have until the recording session to figure them out, as more than likely what you're singing/screaming will be largely indecipherable in a live setting anyway.
