Miller lights here, although I do like to treat myself to something really quality from time to time. Tony and I used to go to this rad lil shop down the street from my place that has hundreds of beers in stock and keeps 12 or so in rotation on tap. last couple jam days we have resumed the tradition. tasty tasty's to be had.

Never been to HKY. Lived in Charlotte for a while. Not a huge fan of that part of the state. I could probably get along well in Asheville, though. I grew up on the coast, so I ended up settling in Wilmington.

Tennessee is supposedly going to start getting their stuff soon. I'm excited to try more.

We don't even get their shit here in Wilmington. I want to try it on name alone though

I have the Founders Imperial stout sitting on my counter right now next to a bottle of Eviltwin More than Jesus stout. Founders baby breakfast stout is fucking delicious as well. Their KBS (which is super fucking limited) is god damn amazing. Twohearted is a good IPA. I have been drinking mainly stouts and porters and venturing away from IPAs and hoppy beers. Although, the Southern Tier Unearthly IPA is fucking delicious. One of the best IPAs I have had on tap in a while. If you find it near you give it a try.


Edit: One of my go to stouts is the North Coast Old Rasputin imperial stout. One of my favorites. North Coast pretty much always puts out solid beers. Same for Southern Tier.

Fucking truth. All stouts should be Imperial and Russian. I actually really, really love the Sierra seasonal stout - it's an Imperial and sooooo good. Stone makes a really good Russian Imperial if you come across it. I really want to try the Jesus Stout as well.

Yeah going from Ohio and just having that stuff everywhere and moving down here I realize I took those for granted. Everything Founders and Bell's make is at least very good (Centennial IPA is one of my favorite beers) and DFH makes such good stuff.

I wish we got some of my Cleveland area favorites but alas I won't hold my breath

Great Lakes is good shit. Every time I'm in Cincinnati visiting the wife's family I always drink a ton of their stuff.

First time I had Old Raspy I accidentally drank all four it was so good. I can't do that these days. Not since... CCCCOLLLLLLEEEEEGEEEEEEE

First time I had it, the bartender prefaced it with a warning about the alcohol content and how delicious it was and suggested that I only allow him to serve me two if I was driving home anytime soon

I'm currently enjoying an Espresso Milk Stout (Splitshot) from Elysian. Next week I can crack open my latest batch of homebrew- did an IPA this time, should be good. The PNW is spoiled with amazing craft beer.

Homebrew is easily my second favorite hobby after guitar. So gratifying to make my own beer. Haven't had the chance to brew since my little one was born, but should be picking up a kegerator this weekend, which will definitely motivate me to make time to brew up a batch. Probably a Dubbel or maybe try my hand at a stout.

That espresso milk stout is fucking gooooooood. Holy shit. Had one last night and a Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball. Equally as delicious.

Mike, the beer store John was talking about is the World Beer & Pipe shop on 56th near So. Tacoma Way. They serve pints, fill growlers and have a ton of 12/22 oz bottles of yummies.

We have a couple of tasting room/growler fill places like that around here and my apartment is a 10 minute walk from two or three of the local breweries' taprooms. Unfortunately my new favorite brewery (new place called Black Abbey) isn't such a convenient drive but they make some of the best beer I've had from Nashville. All really cool belgian yeast-based brews. Their golden ale is unreal.

I forget where I saw it but he did say what it is, If I recall, its half black forrest with a tone stack from a different pedal. he has some demo's up and that may be where i saw it.

What did you dislike about it? I was feeling less than satisfied with my Trinity/Alter Ego combo this morning, and started considering the RE20. After watching some demos of the RE20, I'm not really impressed...
