Re: Anticipated releases for 2014
the slint boxset thing was posted on the Electrical Audio forum & was said to be 'in production'. now they've pulled that photo. no clue about the release date. it seems like they want to spring it on people without much hype.

That's good to hear. Loved GYBE, but man those guys were super serious.MrNovember wrote:Yup!hazelwould wrote:Really digging the new Silver Mt. Zion

I'd love to see these guys again. Seriously some of the best shows I've ever seen. And they're hilarious when tuning between songs.

I was trying to explain Cibo Matto to someone who'd never heard them, and failed miserably. It was a pretty funny discussion, though...bob the r0bot wrote:Gettin stupid hype

Cibo Matto is amazing, definitely psyched for this as well.
We have a weekly dancehall show on the local radio station and it's pretty fun but the bloody DJ is on the horn between EVERY FUCKING SONG. Some people love it but it drives me up the wall.

I went to a David Bazan show a couple months ago and he said he was recording a new cd
And that new John Frusciante and Omar Rodriguez project. Forgot who else was in it and can't find the email

You're a good man, Jrmy Brown.
two thoughts:
A) Holy Shit, I know Birthday Cake. That's from one of the Jet Set Radio soundtracks. Talk about a flashback.
B) Videos Peeped. Will find a copy the album post haste. This is way closer the kind of music I really like making [when I'm not doing the heavies] than what I usually find on the ILF. Minus the vocals. Clearly I'm massively behind the eight-ball on the vocals.

Don't look now, but word on the street is that there's going to be two new Beck records in 2014.

But one is apparently all acoustic
Which will still be good
Just doesn't get me nearly as excited

No idea, I honestly haven't listened to SOTL eitherUgly Nora wrote:I think I heard speculation of him possibly doing a collab with Stars of the Lid based on some photo of them together. Do you know anything about that?kbithecrowing wrote:Ben Frost was supposedly putting out a record this past fall which never happened, so here is to hoping it surfaces this year.
I do know he has been collaborating with other peeps a lot, though.
This project looks really interesting: http://www.richardmosse.com/works/the-enclave/
