"Reactivated underground rock band FLOOR have announced ‘Oblation’ as the title of their forthcoming new album. The full-length will hit the stores on April 25th (April 29th in North America). Track listing and cover artwork will be unveiled soon…
Regarding the signing, Anthon Vialon said: 'Breaking up in 2003, FLOOR got back together in 2010 to tour in support of their ‘Below & Beyond’ box-set. We'd noticed that our fan base had grown exponentially and doing a new record, kind of picking up where we'd left off, was something we agreed we should focus on. Their staff are fans of the band and since we seem to appeal to multiple genres, we believe Season of Mist will be able to help us with that'."
i'm curious how the new Floor stuff will differ from the recent Torche material. considering Torche basically took up where Floor left off (even playing some leftover Floor songs like 'charge of the brown recluse') i hope the bands manage to forge separate styles.
well Torche as they are now is pretty different from Floor as they were then so...hopefully it's back to that sound, maybe? I mean if you've got Henry writing too.
theavondon wrote:Floor rules, and Torche has been one of my favorite bands for quite a while now. Saw them right after Meanderthal opened, and it blew me away. I might be one of the few that actually dug Songs for Singles. Just recently listened to Harmonicraft, and it's like they cranked up the zany. At times, it's like a Thin Lizzy album. Fucking yes.
Can't belive I missed this thread for so long. Torche fucking rules!
And everything this guy ^ says right here. I got to see them last summer as a birthday present, and they fucking killed it. Awesome band, and super cool dudes. 10/10 would go see them again.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers
