they both have a lot more complications than the other three, don't they? i don't really pay attention to moog gear aside from their pedals and vintage synths...

yeah i think there arent that many synths, if at all, with similar features and price of the microbrute. the built in sequencer is a big plus for me. i'm not a big fan of arps so wouldnt miss that (i think what arps do can get old pretty fast). but the sequencer with tap tempo (usable in a band!), steinerparker filter, semi-modular patchability, osc mixing, fits in a backpack portability, and that amazing price. built in sequencer AND keys (u can always plug in a bigger keyboard later) so u can accurately pitch your sequences with the keys and tap them to your drummer's beat. complement the live beats with a drum machine into the audio-in and run those through the filter! all that in a single box for less than $300 (the price of a high end-ish pedal), i would get one without a 2nd thought if i wasnt saving up for modules!Deltaphoenix wrote:For $250 it is hard to beat as long as you don't mind little keys.
No arpeggiator but it does have a step sequencer.
If you decide to get some eurorack someday, it would easily interface with it.
All and all, I would say DO IT

Get it, it's fucking great. I can use it and I can barely play keys.
