Can a fried pedal be fixed?

Post by Ugly Nora »

I think I just fried 2 pedals. I accidentally plugged an 18 v plug into a 9v pedal and now that pedal, plus another pedal that was at the end of the chain won't turn on. The ones that were in the middle of the chain do still work. Does this mean they are fried? I don't smell any burnt smells. Can anything be done to fix these if I send back to the builder?

If it matters it was a Red Panda Context and an Infanem Second Voice.

It seems like lots of builders these days put in protection for just these sorts of problems. Contact Red Panda and Infanem, I'm sure they can tell you what to do to fix it yourself, or send it in to them.

Thanks for the reply. The good news is the Red Panda works now. So I got that going for me. Still no Infanem love though. Maybe I will let it sit for awhile and think good thoughts and it will work again too? And then contact Infanem if still no love.
