Crazy atonal freakout fuzz
Do want!
What are you all using? Or would recommend? My fuzz factory just isn't getting crazy enough.

Off the top of my head, something like 2:10 but squealy-er.
I know they use a FF, but a: I want crazier, and b: I can't even get that with mine.

According to this link:

all you'd need is a ratII stacked on your fuzz factory to get their freakout sound.

I'm running a rat> sobbat db1> fuzz factory right now actually. yet it still eludes me. I'm not trying to jack their sound, but it's similar to what's in my head.

There's also a TON of reverb on there. To me it sounds like they are really pushing a spring reverb more then anything else.

i think it might be more than just the pedals, it's how they play. when i've seen them play live, they scrub the strings really fast and hard and mute with the left hand near the pickups during those noise freakout parts.
btw future sailors is my favorite mighty boosh skit

This is true, they both definitely know what they're doing to get those toanz. Good point though. But it's got to be possible to get squealy-er while playing chords...I might try some sort of AB box setup with a Rat that when you switch to B it puts it into a feedback loop and that into a fuzz.
