i know there's the rat, rat2, you dirty rat & bigbox rat... any others i haven't heard of? & what're their differences?

I'm glad you posted this, I've been trying to figure it out for a while now.

You Dirty RAT is more compressed.
Turbo RAT is brighter, less compressed and more mid-scooped.

Turbo Rat uses LEDs instead of the normal silicon clipping diodes. Put in a toggle switch and you can have both sound options in one pedal.

just got my first one
newer one i suppose
came with the ruetz mod from conky
so far it plays well and holds its ground
with all the other dirt on the floor
looked in other places for lists of mods and stuff
all that im sure of for my tastes as of now
filter off

yeah says that switch was mainly cosmetic to size down. i think if i pick one up i'm gonna try to find that '84-88 version...
also that R2DU is pretty sick, duecetone too!

edit: though fucksake the '84-88s are expensive on ebay... :grumpy:

I've felt just the opposite. I think the Turbo has much more mids than the normal RAT, but that's just my ears. Also more output w/ the Turbo.
