What type of reverb do you think is used in this song?
My amp have a nice tube reverb, but that's not it.
Listen around 1:21... probably no compressor, just an overdrive and reverb... what do you think?

Would a modulated reverb like the Mr. Black Supermoon be a winner in that case?

Re: Reverb
Best record, just listened to it last week.
My guess would be just an overdriven Fender with spring reverb, honestly. Not sure what amps they used, but it sounds really simple. You could try a Subdecay Spring Theory? That's the winner for me when it comes to spring. Or perhaps a VanAmps Solemate if you want something more "authentic" in pedal form.

Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Re: Reverb
I thought it sounded quite metallic, which would usually indicate that it was a spring or plate reverb.

Re: Reverb
Sounded like a plate or spring. Just with the attack set slower. Could probably do with the context. And I could get 90% there with my spring chicken.
Great album btw

Re: Reverb
Yea, anything that gets deep, metallic verb will get you there.
Could get that the Boss FRV-1 (or a real Fender tank) or any one of the rack units here. It's nothing fancy, just a hall-range verb with some metallic elements (could be plate, could be artifacts from a low-sample rate 80s verb, could be the right amp verb).

What kind of reverb is the Supermoon? Cathedral?

Re: Reverb
the supermoon could probably get you that tone if you don't use much "sway".

Re: Reverb
Yah, I was thinking either the Hall or Plate mode with a bit of tweaking on the Context would get me there.
Great tune BTW. Thanks for posting

Re: Reverb
The tube reverb on my amp is really nice, but it's not footswitchable and the control of the reverb is at the back of the amp.
So I might be in the market for a reverb pedal.
The Supermoon sound interesting... but not as many option as the Mini-Reverberator or the Context.

Re: Reverb
RRR is the most natural sounding reverb out there. Plays awesome with dirt and always sits just right in the mix.

Re: Reverb
Yep, but I wish it has more control on it... like a knob for the decay, etc.goroth wrote:RRR is the most natural sounding reverb out there. Plays awesome with dirt and always sits just right in the mix.
And I'm not sure about the Context, as I read bad review about headroom problem.

Re: Reverb
I'm a big fan of the RRR, I had a Spring Theory as well and it really was fantastic too. Before you make a reverb purchase Syl, you should wait for demos of the Blackout Cadavernous and maybe the upcoming Walrus Audio reverb as well.

Re: Reverb
I'm probably going to pick up another RRR - I can get Ryan to ship it to you first if you want?sylnau wrote:Yep, but I wish it has more control on it... like a knob for the decay, etc.goroth wrote:RRR is the most natural sounding reverb out there.
