Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.
It wasn't even true bypass, how could Jimi be so dumb?

I guess a Big Muff. I prefer the Way Huge Swollen Pickle which is pretty cheap on the used market.

It's a totally different story if you take a look at his P&W board.
I think there's a link somewhere...

And yeah if I was heavily touring, unless I was doing it like a "big" band with lots of roadies in nice venues, I'd definitely try to use common, cheap pedz as much as possible for the replacability and less worry about them getting stolen/broken.

I buy the good shit for home and the fun of trying stuff out, but I could get by with common pedals very easily.

Yeah. I was going to say it seems like at a certain level of 'big' your stuff starts getting moved to racks with remote switching, etc etc.

No I got the reference...but for the sake of change, I figured I'd give a legit answer, for those who aren't members that won't understand the typical inside joke responses threads here turn into.

I gotta say some of the cheapest pedals can be musical in the right context... see tera melos. I think variety is more important than anything, especially when making loop based stuff. There is alot to be said for simple boutique pedalboards and often a boutiqish fuzz paired with a delay is plenty of fun, especially when you know you have stuff in a drawer that you could employ at anytime....

These vids where great thanks

i don't think the musical value or legitness of anything is tied to the monetary value of it.

i do think tho that the more you spend the higher your expectations will be, and thus harder to meet or exceed those expectations.

Was this a revelation or something??? Pedals are pedals they don't play themselves; yet...

I'm confused. If I don't spend a lot of money on expensive boutique pedals, how am I supposed to feel superior to other people? :idk:

Please advise.
