I want to remember the ringworm having some issues with bleeding, maybe carrier bleed when not playing? Can't remember. Someone can maybe chime in, cos it's got some sweet features.

True but the bleeding ringworm can be sorted with some fungicidal cream and a dressing.

I love my EHX FA, but I would love a Ring Stinger too. Plan on building my own passive unit at some point.

I hear you actually need a veterinarian to get that prescription in some places.

Yeah I really hope they fix the bleed in future iterations, because it's exactly the kind of ring mod I want inside me.

I've never had a dedicated ring mod.

Tried Minifooger in the store, didn't like it at all. It can't be even compared to the old big box Fooger. Such a shame, I had high hopes for it.
I have Way Huge and still keep it on my board despite the carrier bleed and loud pop when engaged. Envelope ringmod into distortion is the money :omg: Also you can embrace carrier bleed and use it as an oscillator, especially fun with random modulation going into fuzz, filter and delay.
From all the ringmods I had I think the most musical one was Frantone Glacier. Never had RR though, wish I did.

oh man, i'd love the FA! However due to space requirements, i'd prefer the XO versions and they seem pretty rare to me

not a pussy, but i will soon have one big box EHX and i'm pretty sure that's like the limit for me right now :D

I'm really jiving with the ring mod from the Eventide Modfactor/H9 right now. I've owned Randy's Revenge 2.0 before and I've been able to cop all of the tones I liked from that box.

Another option is the ringmod or frequency shifter from the line6 m5/9/13. Nowhere near as versatile, but they manage to make their own unique weird tones.

I have the XO Freq Analyzer, and it rocks the hizzy. The Low Filter switch produces some hella thunderous lows.

That's true, and you can assign multi parameters to one expression pedal for maximum H.E.L.P.e.R.

Just snagged a Randy's Revenge for a song. Feel kinda bad, like I'm robbing the dude I bought it from, but such is the nature of eBay. Only thing is he ripped the foam off the bottom. DID IT LOSE ITS MOJO? Will my Randy only be half a man?
