An old Polychorus? I was lucky enough to score a vintage poly flange (same pedal as poly chorus) on ebay for an obscenely low price and I was quite entranced by how much depth and character, albeit lofi, it could add to a dirty signal. And it stayed sweet no matter what you played. I did open it up once to fiddle with the trimpots but all I found inside was some bleached locks of hair, a plaid shirt and some ripped denim. You can get reissues cheapish on ebay if you hang around.

Whatever sound I have in my head, the joy for me is in grabbing a few ingredients and seeing where they take me and all the unexpected discoveries that feature along the way. I say ditch the GPS and go with your gut!

That would be great if that didn't leave me with tiny metal boxes left over that I don't want that cost hundreds of dollars a piece.

Also, that sandstorm and white noise generator sounds somewhere between a hoard of bees and an old antenna television. Despite your insistence that I will lust after them, you would have to pay me to even have them in my house.

Also, my Boss PS6 does a great chorus effect as is (even though I use it for the S bend mode). I don't really need another one.


To get this back on track... for once... the reason I suggested the source audio orbital modulator before was because it seemed to have a bevy of settings that were multi-discipline (if you will). Like a flanger mixed with a phaser, or a phaser plus a slight delay; ie. sounds you usually need multiple effects for.

Here is the problem. I have tried SA effects before and they tend to be way too complex for the sound quality they provide. Not my bag at all. I said all this back on page 2, before the forum decided to have a heart attack on the page that shall never be spoken of.


I suppose I would be happy with a simple effect that has some mixture of a flanger with a tremolo / echo effect for some with a very subtle delay.


Assuming I do get the Mooer filter, and it does what it promises (ie gives a very synthetic sounding bassballs tone) I will have my filter covered. The effect described above will have me set for modulation, and I already have all the dirt I will ever need.

Despite all of the trouble we are still making progress.

As you can read (well you probably won't, but roll with it), I needed a multi-modulation pedal that was simple, powerful, and professional. Through serendipity I literally happened upon this gem on accident.

I looked up a few clips. I fell in love and I just ordered one.

Dealing with you people is like pulling teeth, but I have this thing where I think most clearly in high-pressure conditions. Your constant fighting and incessant insistence on not actually reading my posts all the way through frustrated me. That frustration really focused my thought process and I was able to hone in on exactly what I was looking for.

There is absolutely no way I, or anyone else on this site, would've suggested the Nova based on your OP. Not to mention it's out of your self-imposed price range anyway, so had anyone suggested it you would've gone "too expensive."

It's under $100 used.

And if you ONLY went by the first paragraph and a half of my OP, I would agree with you. I did however write more than that and even titled the thread accordingly.
