I have a cab with a Swamp Thang in it. Don't have a delta 12a, but if I remember correctly, that speaker is supposed to be similar to the EVM 12L, which I do have in another cabinet.
Assuming the 12a and 12L are indeed similar...
Cleans... I've found that the 12L retains more clarity when playing clean than does the Swamp Thang. Volume up and strumming open chords, some notes seem to get a bit mushy or lost with the Swamp Thang. I'll often hear some overtones with the EVM that I won't with the Swamp too.
Dirts... given the same pedals and settings, fuzz's and stuff come out of the Swamp Thang woolier and heavier, while they come out of the EVM fizzier and punchier.
My amps are in the 70 to 100 watt range and I keep my clean tone clean, dirtying things up with pedals. Both speakers seem to work well for this being up there in watt handling and all. Not sure what characteristics may be different or not there with your amp, which I think is 15 watts.
