I wish I could have seen them.

When I saw Sunn almost two years ago now it was an interesting situation. Because while I feel like I got the 'Sunn' experience, the PA was not nearly as large where I saw them as where they normally play, so on one hand it was 'Sunn in the raw' but on the other hand I didn't have to wear earplugs and my ears weren't bleeding... But it was an excellent show no less

Yeah, I've heard that they have their shit in order now. But I would only use their mailorder as an absolute last resort, and I'm certainly not pre-ordering anything from them..... I have a friend who got burned really badly by them, and the horror sTories I've heard through throughout the years.... ridiculous!!

Greg Anderson is still a bag of dicks, though. I speak from personal experience.

I'm always excited to hear new SUNN though. I just have to imagine things other than GERG when I do.

It was LOUD when I saw Sunn. This was probably 2005 or so? I forget when exactly, but it was pretty cool. I think. I mean, I had a good time and it was an interesting experience but it's some guys in robes in a riffless amp band..... I mean I 'get it', but I also get that after an hour I was like "okay, I wish this was a bar instead of a church..... or the church had a bar"

I'd go back in time to see Khanate, but I dunno if I need to repeat the experience with Sunn... however I probably play Sunn more consistently than Khanate because of White1/2, the NWW remix album and Domkirke.... Khanate only really happens when I flip back into total doom mode.... quite frankly O'Malley's been involved with way more interesting people/projects in the last few years.

Yeah. I need to pick up that new collaboration he did with the dude from Pan Sonic. The clips I heard were AWESOME. Ensemble Pearl was a good release of 2013

I give a fuck that this thread got stupid real quick. I'm a casual fan of Sunn O))) I love Black One and their colab with Boris. I have both White albums, but remember only liking one of them. I have three Khanate cd's I need to give another chance. I just did not "get it" on the first listen. Sucks to hear about bullshit with Southern Lord Records.
