I absolutely adore the DOD FX-10 Bi-Fet Preamp. Turn the tone all the way down and you have an awesome, warm low end boost for guitar or bass.

+1 - The FX-10 is really good. It was my favorite preamp pedal until I found the Submarine.

This confirms my presumption about me needing a Corrosion (or Metal X I guess?)

DOD stuff I own and cherish:
Buzz Box
Meat Box
Deat Metal
Metal Maniac
Thrash Master
Grunge

I definitely need more of them metal distortion boxes

I think it has more bass than a Rat. The Thrash Master is supposed to be based on the HM-2 but I don't think they actually sound that similar.

Definitely more bass than a Rat I'd say, never tried a HM-2 so I can't compare. It's not as harsh sounding as I was expecting actually
