peets is pretty good. i also really like alterra/collectivo/whatever. just finished off a bag of their guatamala. i'm mostly into light roasts and that one hits the spot.

i usually just grind my own beans and drip brew, but when it's warm out i'm super into preparing enormous jars of cold process coffee.

It's famous for its outlet malls. That should tell you a lot about Conroe.

I love lightly roasted Ethiopian Aramo. I also fucking love RaceTrac and 7-11 coffee. Free coffee week at RaceTrac was fucking wonderful. I counted every cup of coffee I had while in a mental institution, and I averaged 6.75 cups per day. Though, probably 12oz per cup. At home, it ends up being around a pot and a half to two pots a day.

Hey Donovan, this is Joseph. :hello:
Matthew and I are drinking some mac island coffee as I type this.

I'm from Montgomery, which is very close to Conroe, and I can confirm that this is not a great place to be.

Yes.

Jamaican Blue Mountain (upper) is my favorite.
Hawaiian Kona takes runner-up.

And all hail the venerable breakfast blend.

To be fair they're right on the Woodlands/Conroe border so my Dad says they're in Conroe and my mom says The Woodlands. Regardless, crappy coffee and not a great place to be if you're not in high school and have a coke contact.

Also the bubble boy. Tragic that he didn't know how little he was missing.

Another coffee thread? Someone pass Green the Tim's.

I got an Able disk for my Aeropress and an espresso machine for Christmas. Hoping to overdose on caffeine.

Dude Pelican, I was going to send you some coffee ages ago, but it's never come back to my local coffee shop. Dunno, maybe it was super limited or something. Haven't found anything else that's really tickled my fancy like that one. Oh well.

Aeropresses are great.

That bums me out, man. We'll have to do a coffee swap in the new year when you find something else!

I'll take my Aeropress over any French press.

i know that people who like coffee will always roll their eyes when i take mine with milk and sugar...

one thing (still) is that i always drink shitty coffee with milk and sugar - because i enjoy it that way. The better the coffee is, the less sugar and milk i put in, but i still enjoy it (also i don't coffees that are sour, so i level the taste with milk and sugar)

I like the taste exactly as i like to drink it. I enjoy MY coffee, all shit put in aside. I like it as a treat and a sweat, of course there is the ritual and routine part of it, but it's not like i get anxious when i don't drink it...

oh and cream is boss, of course :) but as a student, i usually only have milk

Good answer, good answer.

Bad coffee always requires milk/cream and really bad coffee also requires sugar.

How do you say "greasy spoon" in Czech?
